Note: Tom's sixth novel in the |
Tom Corcoran is working 25 hours a day to finish the manuscript of "Hawk Channel Chase." Well, okay, that might be fiction too… But completion draws near. Tom thanks all his Alex Rutledge fans for their patience during his extended break between novels. Meanwhile, "Key West in Black and White"—the elegant 192-page collection of Tom's photos published in late 2007—continues to sell well. The book showcases more than 160 fine images of Key West buildings, boats, street scenes, beaches and businesses. A number of people have inquired about framed prints of images in the book. There is a limited supply available, with displays in Key West at Tropic Cinema, Louie's Backyard Restaurant, and the Custom House Gift Shop. Many are also available through the web site of the Key West Art and Historical Society - www.kwahs.org. Parrotheads are sure to enjoy Tom's 2006 booklet, "Jimmy Buffett - the Key West Years." A smaller book, it showcases about three dozen of Jimmy's formative residences, hangouts and inspirations. One last thing - Tom is honored to be mentioned in "Outlaw Journalist," William McKeen's new biography of Hunter S. Thompson. Tom worked off-and-on with Hunter for years and this is the first HST bio that gets to the soul of Thompson's affection for the Florida Keys. The book is available everywhere, though you can find it quickly at Amazon by clicking here. |
